
So, the whole reason why I was in New York from April 29 - May 2 was because I was hired to lead three mandala workshops with seventh graders at the
Henry Street School for International Studies. On Monday morning, April 30, I took the subway from my friend Joan's pad in Brooklyn into Manhattan's lower east side, off to work in the Big Apple!
The kids had already been studying mandalas for a while (they even watched a PowerPoint presentation about me!), and they had each already made their own fabulous peace-themed mandala on a recycled vinyl record. Here are some of my favorites:
