Above is the first picture I ever posted on this blog, exactly one year ago today! The picture was taken in 1998 - 10 years ago! - and it shows my humble beginnings, trying to figure out a way to start a business, sell my artwork, and be a mom to two little ones at the same time (while also working a full-time job in the corporate sales world).
Needless to say, Linoleum Hogass Records didn't last very long - at least, I wasn't able to keep setting up a booth on the weekends while doing everything else. But I kept painting and creating and when I lost my job in 2003, I became Eye Pop Art - a little bit older, a little bit smarter.
And here I am now, wishing a happy first birthday to the Eye Pop Art blog! If this blog could eat cake, it would definitely want chocolate today.
